Research

I am currently working on a PhD at the University of Guelph. I am using DNA barcoding as a tool to understand biodiversity of freshwater invertebrates and presence/risks associated with black flies (Diptera:Simuliidae) on Inuinnait Nuna - Inuit Homelands in Nunavut.

Check out this article I wrote for Arctic Focus about an amazing backcountry canoe trip we did in 2021!

Contemporary fringe and flat-stitch beadwork

I am a contemporary artist that occasionally incorporates traditional elements of Metis-style beading into my work. I specialize in single-needle flat-stitch.
